A debilitating knee injury brought Ashton to yoga after almost 15 years of competing in sports at an elite level. Her yoga mat has provided an outlet for self exploration and growth, both physically and mentally. She believes yoga is never static, and is ever evolving. Her goal as a yoga teacher is to help guide others on a path of learning.
Ashton has made education her career, and is a teacher in the Health and Wellness Department of the Halifax Regional School Board. In the yoga studio her classes are lighthearted, filled with movement, and are very much tailored to the students in the room.
